Current Obsession: Pale Pink

The other day, I went to get a manicure before Senior Sendoff, an event that Ferris State PRSSA hosts as one last goodbye to the seniors. When I was handed the color wheel, I gravitated towards the pastels and the lighter colors. I chose #53, a pale pink that I thought would compliment my outfits for the next week or so and embraced the upcoming summer months.
Shortly after getting my manicure, my friend Kate mentioned that my nails were now the exact same shade as my purse, which was sitting in my lap. I had not even realized that the colors were identical.

I began to think about other things in my life that followed the same pattern; my new tulle skirt, a pair of socks, my business cards, a pair of pants, the redesign of my website. My previously turquoise room is starting to look blush.
It appears to be my color of the season.
I'm assuming that I'm drawn to the color because of what it reminds me of: spring, happiness, flowers in bloom. I previously didn't like pink
But I can't deny that I have become obsessed with the shade, so it only fitting as my obsession of the week (but this could last for months).
With the amount of pale pink items currently in my possession, and how frequently I gravitate to the pink objects when I'm shopping, I don't see this obsession slowing down anytime soon.
