Current Obsession: Floral Furniture

It's my last college Easter break, and I am loving the time I get to spend with my family (and indulging on good food for the holiday.)

While I'm home, I love to stop at this little thrift store downtown, to see if there's any hidden vintage finds, or cute furniture I can repaint and make new again.

I stopped down there today and feel in love with a floral chair.

I know what you're thinking- "that sounds hideous"- and I know that floral furniture is not for everybody. But I couldn't help myself, I loved it, and I bought it.

Also, I immediately thought of The Devil Wears Prada when I began writing about florals for spring.

As I'm preparing to move into my next apartment, I am trying to decide what kind of color scheme I want. For the most part, I like plain colors. But I just couldn't pass up on this chair. I loved the idea of curling up on it with a good book, and I thought it wouldn't look too bad next to a cream colored couch (which I'm still searching for).

It's safe to say I'm obsessed with this chair- and my dog, Stanley, is too. So, it's only fitting that my obession of the week is floral furniture.

I spent the rest of my afternoon, working on my iPad, sitting on my new floral chair. While I wouldn't put floral furniture in every room of my house, it's nice to brighten things up. I'm almost 22 years old, and if there's ever a time to have a floral chair, it's now (and again when i'm 72).

Maybe it's the sun and the spring weather that has me loving the floral, or maybe it's because the chair matches my business cards, but either way, I'm obsessed with the chair and it's okay if other people don't love it as much as I do. I think the chair is a bright pop to a neutral living room, and I couldn't be happier with this $20 purchase.
